9 mm Glock G48 GEN5 Silver Slide

The Glock 48 is part of the Silver Slimline series. The G 48 has a slimmed-down version of the slide of the Glock 19, and it shares the Glock Marksman Barrel with the Gen 5 Glock 19. However, there is no accessory rail. The finish is Glock’s silver nPVD finish. The silver-coloured slide finish is the same slide finish treatment used on the G19X. This nPVD (physical vapour deposition) excelled in the aggressive military testing the 19X endured. Like all new generation Glocks, it lacks the finger grooves which most people agree is an improvement.

G48 – The perfect fit for any hand size

The G48 in calibre 9mm Luger is of similar length and height as the G19 but the width of the pistol is reduced for increased concealability and high carrying comfort.

The magazine capacity of the slim 01 magazine of the G48 is 10 rounds.

The G48 comes with a silver-coloured nPVD-coated slide with front serrations and features the GLOCK Marksman barrel.

FEATURES

Comfortable grip with beavertail

The frame of the slimline models has a built-in beavertail design, which allows the shooter to acquire a high and tight grip.

Front serrations

Front serrations provide a different look and an additional tactile surface to do a fast press check before and after firing.

High magazine capacity

The 10 rounds magazine slim 01 has a specific single stack design to reduce its dimensions to a minimum. The orange follower allows the shooter to clearly see if there are any rounds left in the magazine or not. The metal insert is covered by a polymer coating.

Trigger distance

The trigger distance of these slimline pistols is reduced compared to other GLOCK models. The grip angle is equivalent to the larger pistols in the GLOCK lineup.

Safe Action® System

Three safeties disengage sequentially as the trigger is pulled and automatically reengage when the trigger is released.

Silver-coloured nPVD surface refinement

The surface of the GLOCK slide is silver and non-reflective. All GLOCK metal parts are subject to a surface treatment making them corrosion and salt water resistant.

Polymer frame

The durable and lightweight polymer frame absorbs recoil due to the dampening characteristics of the polymer. The slimline RTF was designed to enhance grip traction, without being too aggressive.

Standard GLOCK polymer sights

The dimensions of the standard GLOCK rear sights were reduced to fit the slim slide.

GLOCK Marksman barrel

The GLOCK Marksman barrel (GMB) features enhanced barrel rifling based on the proven polygonal barrel design which delivers improved accuracy.

Reversible magazine catch

The magazine catch of the compact slim frame is reversible to switch the catch to the left or right side of the pistol.

Slide stop lever

A fully functional slide-stop lever stops the slide in the rearward position after having fired the last round in the magazine.

Loaded chamber indicator

A visible and palpable indicator is located on the extractor.
